Tennessee fans riot after Lane Kiffin bolts for USC
The announcement that Lane Kiffin was leaving for USC created a sort of mayhem with the fans of Tennessee protesting against the decision. While the crowd was causing problems, the news reporting the issue had been exaggerating the mass of the crowd. In fact, the video that was published in the media was from the 2010 Knoxville Night-time Marathon, where people had gathered to keep him from leaving.
Further, even Kiffin’s address was posted online which led people to gather around. The situation happened such that tear gas was used to manage the chaos. This was an uncomfortable and sad situation for his fans but there was no other way to take over the situation. A guy named Renaldo Woolridge made a tweet updating people about the situation. Here is the tweet.

Likewise, along with those videos, another clip of fans setting mattresses on fire was also made public. Not only this but one of the Tennessee fans also was seen urinating on the t-shirt that featured Lane, which was later burnt.
Similarly, a girl fan also was seen circling the gears of Kiffin and chanting words of disagreement. Some of the students at the protest was also seen attacking the sculpture at the campus.
