Dobson’s mother, Ginger Elrod married Robert Gene Carter on April 1, 2004, in Key West, Florida. After their marriage, Ginger adopted her husband’s last name, Carter. The pair gave birth to a son, Kaden Brent Carter together.

Meanwhile, there is a Facebook account that we can say belonged to Robert Carter after going through his friend list. Robert, who died in 2017 ( more about this below) had set his relationship status to “separated” instead of married. Taelyn Dobson’s Stepfather Died in 2017

Dobson’s stepfather, Robert Gene Carter passed away at age 65 on May 16, 2017, in Florida. He reportedly died of a heart attack. Dobson’s stepbrother, Nick Carter announced the tragic news in a tweet on Wednesday 17th May. “I am heartbroken to share the news that our father, Robert, passed away last night,” wrote Nick in his tweet.

He further said in a separate tweet,

“While we learn more about the cause of death and begin the grieving process, we ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Besides, Taelyn’s other stepbrother, Aaron also expressed his feelings in an Instagram post where he shared a photo of him with his dad. “My heart is broken, we are so hurt we lost you poppa way too soon,” Aaron wrote alongside the post.

Her Mother Elrod Was Beaten up by Bob Carter’s Ex-wife

Back in 2004, Taelyn Dobson’s mother, Ginger Elrod was beaten by Bob Carter’s second wife, Jane Carter. As reported, Jane broke into Bob’s house in the Florida Keys breaking the window with a rock. After that, she went to the bedroom where Bob and Elrod were sleeping. Jane then dragged Elrod out of bed by her hair and hit her with a remote control.

After the incident, Jane was arrested and charged with battery, however, Bob reportedly said that Elrod would not press charges against Jane but that “restraining orders are in place.”

Taelyn Dobson Has a Bunch of Siblings

Well, Dobson doesn’t have a biological sibling, however, she has a handful of stepsiblings. She also has a half-sibling, Kaden Brent Carter from her mother’s marriage to Robert Gene Carter. Besides, Taelyn has six stepsiblings.

Taelyn Dobson’s Two Step Siblings Died Young

Two of Dobson’s step-siblings, Aaron Carter and Leslie Carter are no more. Both of them passed away pretty you due to possible drug overdose. Back on January 31, 2012, her stepsister, Leslie Carted died at the age of 25. She died at her dad, Bob’s home in New York due to a prescription drug overdose. 

At the time Leslie was visiting her father and stepmother Ginger in Mayville, NY. There she reportedly fell down in a bathroom and went unconscious. Ginger found her and Leslie’s father Bob performed CPR on her before taking her to the Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Leslie was married to her husband Mike Ashton and had a 10-month-old daughter, Allysa Jane Ashton at the time of her death.

More than a decade later, on November 5, 2022, Taelyn Dobson’s older stepbrother singer Aaron Carter died at his home in Lancaster, California. The 34-year-old actor was found unconscious in a bathtub by his house’s caretaker. An autopsy was performed, however, the cause of his death was never revealed.

Where is Taelyn Dobson Now?
