Scott Minerd Age At The Time of His Death

Minerd’s age was 63 at the time of his death. He passed away on 21st December 2022, in Vista, California. He was born on March 23, 1959, in Connellsville, Pa.

His untimely death took a toll on his family. He was survived by his husband Eloy Mendez and his nephew Matthew Kenneth Minerd at the time of his passing.

In fact, both of Minerd’s parents are also dead. His mother Carol Lee Minerd died on 7th July 2013 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was 77 at the time of her death. On the other hand, his father named Byron K Minerd passed away in May 2011.

His dad Byron attended Connellsville High School and then graduated from Waynesburg College. He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Scott Minerd Cause of Death

Scott Minerd’s cause of death was a heart attack. As per sources, Minerd suffered a heart problem during a regular workout regime. He had been a Chairman of Investments and Global Chief Investment Officer at the time of his demise.

As said above, his untimely demise came as shock to his family members and his colleagues at Guggenheim Partners. After Scott’s death, they all also expressed their deepest sympathies to his family.

After his passing, Guggenheim Investments, the global investment, and advisory financial services firm announced Dina DiLorenzo and David Rone as the Co-Presidents of the firm.

He was a key adviser on financial markets matters of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mark Walter, CEO and a founder of Guggenheim Partners said of Scott,

“Scott was a key innovator and thought leader who was instrumental in building Guggenheim Investments into the global business it is today. He will be greatly missed by all.”

Yes, talking about his sexuality, Minerd was gay. He, at the time of his marriage, was married to his husband named Eloy Mendez. The gay couple tied the knot in 2017.

Together, the two also did collaborate on several projects. They worked on The Low End Theory, Joy Joy Nails (2017). Further, Minerd and his hubby Eloy briefly worked as a producer on “We Are Here.”
