The late Judy Rubenfeld was the mother of three children, one being popular actor and comedian Paul Reubens. Besides, she also appeared in a minor role in the 1988 movie Big Top Pee-wee, however, she never took up acting professionally.

Furthermore, after giving birth to their first son Paul in Peekskill, New York, the family moved to Oneonta. Their daughter and son were born when they were in Oneonta.
For the last time, the whole family moved to Sarasota in 1960, before settling down there. They built their home in Sarasota Bay as a test house. It was Japanese in style, the house had a swimming pool in the center and overhead garage doors that opened the house to the outdoors.
Judy and Milton Owned A Business Together
The beautiful couple owned and operated a lighting store together. The lighting store was called ‘The Lamplighter Shop’ and was on the Tamiami Trail. Judy was seen working in the store whenever her duty as a mother allowed her to.
She also used to be a Volunteer School nurse at her children’s elementary school and was active in their extracurricular activities all through high school. She also was seen in her oldest son’s movie Big Top Pee-Wee.

The way Judy and Milton parented them, it was obvious they would become great people. Her three children Paul, Abby, and Luke all are doing very well in their fields. Paul, Judy’s eldest son, is an actor and comedian known as Pee-wee Herman. Abby is a well-known civil rights lawyer whereas Luke is a successful entrepreneur.
After each of her children was successful and grown enough to take care of themselves, Judy and Milton once again migrated. This time they moved to a place where they could enjoy themselves. Rubenfeld and Milton moved to the southernmost tip of Turtle Beach of Siesta Key. Now that, she had time to herself, she took solace in walking on the beach and collecting sea shells. Judy loved watching the birds, and playing bridge and was a master at crossword puzzles.
Her Oldest Son Paul Was A Renowned Actor
Paul Rubens was an amazing actor and an even more talented comedian. He was mostly known for creating and playing the character of Pee-Wee Herman. Paul since his childhood was a talented boy. As a high school boy at Sarasota High School, he was named president of the National Thespian Society. Paul even produced and wrote a feature film Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure which was a critical success.
Reubens died on July 30, 2023, at the age of 70, following severe hypoxic respiratory failure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He had both myelogenous leukemia and metastatic lung cancer at the time of his death. He had been diagnosed six years prior but had not made his condition public.
Paul’s Mom Judy Died In 2019
Judy’s death had saddened everyone she knew. She was a wickedly funny and sarcastic lady. She was also known to be drastically impatient and for having a Doberman named Carlos who would carry her purse. She passed away on January 28, 2019, among all her loved ones in Los Angeles, California. The reason for her death is unknown.
