Jason’s parents Ronnie and Jonathan were married in 1983, in a low-key wedding ceremony. The two met for the first time while Ronnie was performing at New York’s Madison Square Garden in 1974. But, they didn’t talk at that time and the duo would meet for the second time in 1978 when Jonathan was stage managing an off-broadway production of The Neon Woman. 

After their second meeting, Jason approached his future wife for a hug. He asked her,

“Do you mind if I hug you?” 

He said of Spector,

“She sort of looked at me like, ‘Give me a break.’ [But] Ronnie let me give her a hug.” 

They gradually began dating and were in a relationship for a couple of years before their marriage in 1983. And the two had been happily married until Ronnie’s death in Jan 2020. 

How Did His Mother Ronnie Die? 

As said above, Jason’s late mother Ronnie died on January 12, 2022, in her house located in Danbury, Connecticut. She was 78 years old at the time of her demise.  

Sources say Ronnie who was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Ronettes died after losing a battle with cancer. 

How Many Siblings Does Jason Charles Greenfield Have?

Jason Charles Greenfield has one older brother Austin who is now a tennis professional at Guilford Racquet & Swim Club. In an old interview with Billboard in 1999, the rock and roll star said of her both sons,

His other step and adoptive siblings came from his mother’s previous marriage to Phil Spector. The two had three adopted children including Donte Phillip and twins Louis Phillip Spector and Gary. 

After their divorce, Phil also had a set of twins Nicole and Phillip Sepctor Jr. with his relationship with Janis Zavala. Sadly, Spector Jr. died in 1991. 

As of now, Phil who was convicted for the murder of the actress Lana Clarkson in 2003 is also dead. He died in Jan 2021.
