Compagno married Peter Riley on September 13, 2017, at her family’s estate in Villa Cimbrone, Italy. The ceremony took place at the Tea Room Pavilion, an open-air setting with sweeping views that made the day more special.
The two had known each other long before the wedding. They first crossed paths as teenagers and reconnected years later on the streets of Seattle, just a year before tying the knot. Both had attended the University of Washington and studied political science—Emily earned her B.A. there, while Peter completed the same degree in 2000—so they shared plenty of common ground before their romance officially began.

Riley has built a solid career in the tech industry. His LinkedIn shows he now works at NVIDIA as a senior account manager, focusing on GPU cloud services.
He went to Seattle Preparatory School from 1992 to 1996 before heading to the University of Washington. There, he studied political science and communications and finished his bachelor’s degree in 2000.
After graduation, Riley started out as an account executive at HouseValues, Inc. A few years later, he joined Cisco Systems, where he stayed for more than 12 years and worked his way through several managerial positions.
In 2015, he moved to Palo Alto Networks as a major account manager, a role he held until 2021. He then spent two years at Netskope in the same position before joining NVIDIA in 2023.
