Hundreds of new actors come into Hollywood every year. As such, recognizing all of them by just looking at their face is really challenging, and it becomes more difficult when your favorite character has a resemblance to another Hollywood star.

Well, Hollywood is full of celebrity doppelgangers; while some stars possess little similarities between them, some are extremely convincing.

#10. Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel

We’re kicking off this list of celebrity look-alikes with the singing sensation Katy Perry and the New Girl star Zooey Deschanel. A lot of their fans have mistaken them for each other multiple times. In fact, both the stars have acknowledged this fact publicly.

Zooey once said before Katy became a pop sensation, people would often confuse her for Katy. “It’s a little bit annoying, to be totally blunt. The only similarity that we have is that we look a little bit alike,” Zooey once told MTV. However, she also emphasized that now that Katy is very popular, she is not being mistaken for her.

Meanwhile, for Katy’s part, she also told MTV that in the past days, she was mistaken for Deschanel “all the time.” But, she didn’t mind fans’ confusion at all, rather she thought it was “really funny.” 

#9. Millie Bobby Brown and Natalie Portman

The Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is often compared to the two times Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman due to their similar facial structure. The two actors have a huge age gap of 23 years, and many of their fans think Millie is a younger version of Portman.

As a matter of fact, Portman even spoofed Millie’s character from Stranger Things in Saturday Night Live sketch. Moreover, Portman once told MTV that she met Brown at the Golden Globes where the latter approached her and told her, “people keep telling me I look like the kid version of you.”

In a response, Portman said she told her, “That’s very nice, but I think you’re your own magical person.“

Besides, both actors have publicly talked about the confusion among the fans. Back in 2013, The Martian star Damon talked about the fan confusion with the Transformers actor. In his words,

Back in October 2016, in an interview with The Times Magazine, Connelly joked about her and Moore looking alike. She said, “Someone said, ‘You’re Demi Moore’s sister!’ If she does have a sister, it’s not me.”

The Sex Education actress Emma Mackey doesn’t like when she is confused with Margot Robbie. But, lots of their fans often mistake one for the other. Mackey once told the Independent,

“I genuinely don’t see it at all. Like, it’s lovely to be compared to Margot Robbie, but mostly I’d rather people focus on the jobs that we’re both doing rather than what we look like.”

Mackey added, 

“Hollywood churns out people who look the same and we love to put people in boxes. It’s just a thing that we do as a species, we categorize people, we always have.”

On the other hand, Margot Robbie has also been the victim of confusion as well. However, the Australian actor takes it rather easily.

Robbie told BBC Radio 1 that she was mistaken for Mackey while out in public. She said, “Someone came up to me, I was eating my burger. And they were like ‘I loved you in Sex Education, that show is so cool, we just started watching it.’ And I was like ‘I’m so sorry, it’s not me.“

#5. Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has often been mistaken for the American-born Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood. Radcliffe revealed during his Wired autocomplete interview that he had been mistaken for Wood many times.

He said,

“I am mistaken for him very often. I had a makeup artist on one of my last jobs telling me that I had been in a movie with Vin Diesel that she had just seen the trailer for.”

Meanwhile, Radcliffe once revealed that one fan had asked him for an autograph on a photo of Wood while in Japan. “So the quickest way to deal with it was just write, ‘I am not Elijah Wood, signed Daniel Radcliffe’ and then hope someone translated that for him later,” Radcliffe said.

Actor and comedian Will Ferrell and drummer Chad Smith look so similar that almost everyone can mistake them for each other any day. In fact, both the stars have accepted the fact that they look similar.

Hale said,

I remember there was this one time, it was this older lady in an airport, and she was like, ‘Can I get a picture with you?’ I thought that she thought I was Lucy.”

She went on to say,

“Afterward, she started listing off the projects that she liked of mine and I quickly realized that she thought I was Selena. And I kind of just went with it because I didn’t want to crush her dreams.”

The Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard started looking more like Timothee Chalamet in recent years as he grew up into an adult. The two actors have similar facial structures and on top of that, they both go with a similar hairstyles. It has made many of their fans confuse them for each other.
