Yes, Melugin’s father Gary, born on 5th December 1954 died on 12th May 2016. He was 61 at that time. Two years after his death, Bill shared his dad’s memorial video on his Facebook. In the clip, Melugin also revealed that his father died from a pulmonary embolism while at work.

As per LA Times, Gary was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism at age 55.
